Volunteers are the lifeblood of our events. From marketing, to assisting movie stars, and helping to provide information to the attendees. Once you are a volunteer your status with us opens the heavens for access to everything that we do. To become a volunteer email firstname.lastname@example.org and join the ACC/Tricon Volunteers page on Facebook.
If you are doing paid work you will get paid as contract labor. We only do 3 shows a year so keeping a payroll department isn’t efficient. Hour wages are 8.50 an hour and paid out as a 1099 contractor. You are responsible for any payroll taxes, and personal income tax. We don’t have many jobs that require paid staff so the majority of slots we will be filling are Non Paid volunteers.
Non paid volunteers: For jobs that require no overseeing of staff, or event cash, or out of pocket expenses we rely on Volunteers. Volunteers will get an autograph from a celebrity of their choosing where available, free access to the event during unscheduled shifts, and additional access to guests and events beyond the convention itself. Limited access to family and friends is something we have worked out in the past.
Code of Conduct:
As a volunteer you are required to act in a manner that will show the events in a positive light for all. If you disagree with a policy it is not your place to publicly engage in descent. You have direct access to management so its best for you to speak directly to those with the authority and understanding of the policy to discuss with you. The volunteer application will have more details on this and can be found on the ACC/Tricon Volunteer Page.
